Green City Market kicks off its 2024 Sustainable Supper Series  6 p.m. April 16, Ella Elli, 1349 W. Cornelia Ave. 

Tickets include three course dinner, three specialty mocktails created by by Ritual Zero Proof, panel discussion

Proceeds form the event will benefit Green City Market's support for local farmers, educate communities and expand food access around Chicago. 

Some dietary restrictions can be accommodated: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free nut-free. A post registration survey will be available to list dietary restrictions

Eataly, 43 E. Ohio St., hosts a pasta making demonstration conducted by the chef of La Scuola, 3 p.m. April 14. 

Participants will learn how to make handmade dough during to create their own fresh-made pasta along with learning  how to shape pastas such as Cavatelli, Fusilli, Orechiette, and Trofie. 

Seating is typically first come first served. Any guests wishing to include an alcohol beverage must be 21 and older with valid government issued ID card.

The Getaway, 4530 Lincoln Ave, which features a seasonal rotation of 12 cocktails along with a variety of local and international beers, opens April 13. 

A sample of what's to come on the maiden round of a rotating cocktail menu from Gianna Peña (General Manager), Sarah Crossley (Operations Manager), and Janet Tonyan (bartender) includes:

Smoke ‘em if You Got ‘em (rye whiskey, Cynar liqueur, Benedictine herbal liqueur, served in a chilled glass with a spritz of Laphroaig)

Cocorococonut (vodka, lemongrass sake, lychee liqueur, coconut syrup and lemon juice)
